Family and friends of Jay Cozine are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Jay has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility to the full extent allowed by law for donors. Donors can be sure that funds donated will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

Thank you for your support!
Everything happened so fast. One minute Jay was in the local hospital, they were doing their best but his liver was failing. Transferred to the transplant hospital where we were told it could be anywhere from two weeks to a year before he would be able to receive a transplant but then a miracle happened. Our hearts go out to the wonderful person whose liver became part of Jay and saved his life. He still has a long road ahead of him but it's so great to have him on that road!! Many of the expenses for his transplant are not covered by insurance. Your donations to Help Hope Live will help him get the anti rejection meds he needs and help with the burden of other expenses so he can focus on healing and living.
My kids know Jay as the fun Uncle who took them sleigh riding in the winter and helped them hunt lightning bugs in the summer. He is also the Uncle they have watched fight a terrible illness while keeping his sense of humor. He's on his way to the transplant hospital now. Told us he was going in for a tune up!
