Chelsea is approaching her 6th year of catastrophic spinal cord injury recovery. The challenge for a quadriplegic life is never-ending. Supporting this recovery has been very difficult. Chelsea has been able to participate in physical therapy recovery activities that are not covered by insurance but have been supported through her Help Hope Live campaign.
Medical expenses, home modifications, adaptive equipment, and transportation needs are financial charges placed solely on the SCI patient and their family caregivers. We will update the status of Chelsea's recovery to show the amazing opportunities for activity-based therapies. From adaptive surfing and horseback riding with "Surf & Turf" to intense whole-body training at "Strides".
