Pick a Book Designer's Brain to Help Gabriela Get Home Modifications + Care
If you want to support a good cause and you or someone you know is writing or publishing a book, this is for you!
My niece Gabriela and her twin sister were born in May 2013 at 26 weeks gestation. As with all extremely premature infants, both girls experienced serious health challenges upon birth, with the most profound one being Gabriela’s severe brain injury. She is now 13 years old and her diagnosis of cerebral palsy means she is quadriplegic. As she gets bigger, her needs grow as well. We recently fundraised for a wheelchair van for Gabriela (which she received in June 2026!) and are now fundraising for home modifications needed for wheelchair access, and for her ongoing needs.
