Autism Acceptance Month: Sustaining Advocacy

April is Autism Acceptance Month — and this year, I’m turning visibility into action.

As the Illinois Miss Amazing titleholder and Impact Award recipient, I’m using my platform to raise funds for a medically necessary service dog that will allow me to continue public speaking, legislative advocacy, and mental health education safely and sustainably.

Autistic women are more than seven times as likely to die by suicide compared to their nondisabled peers. Yet too many still face barriers to affirming, accessible care. My work focuses on changing that — through community education, systems advocacy, and policy engagement in Illinois.

This sponsorship campaign invites local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to partner in advancing disability inclusion and mental health equity.

Sponsorship support will help fund:

• Service dog training and placement
• Medical stabilization support
• Continued statewide advocacy and speaking engagements
• Autism Acceptance Month awareness efforts

All contributions are processed through Help Hope Live, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and are tax-deductible.

This is more than a fundraiser — it’s an opportunity to invest in sustainable advocacy and meaningful systems change.

If you are a business or organization interested in becoming a sponsor, please reach out directly. Community members are also invited to contribute or share this page to help amplify the impact.

Together, we can move beyond awareness and toward real support for autistic women and mental health equity.
